Adolescent / Young Adult Counseling

  • Do you feel anxious and worried about life?
  • Have you been feeling sad, isolated, and/or lonely and think you may be depressed?
  • Do you feel that no one understands what you are going through?

In this fast-paced world, adolescents and young adults often find themselves feeling overwhelmed by increasing expectations and responsibilities. Perhaps you feel a little lost and are searching for a clear and positive sense of self as you forge a path toward the life you want to live. It is natural to feel some tension and worry, but sometimes it is too much to handle alone. Friends and parents may try to help, but they can only hear so much.

Chrysalis therapists have worked with teens and young adults for over twenty years. We have a special talent for building meaningful relationships with those who want to create changes in their lives.

Parents, we understand that these can be confusing and stressful times for you too.  We have therapists who understand and are available to you as well. See Our Parenting Page

Transition to College

When you move out of your parents’ house and continue along the path toward independence and self-realization, it is often helpful to have additional support.

The transition to college can cause added anxiety, stress, and friction in your life. We can work with you on both personal and academic goals. Often, students who are on break from school or who have decided to take a break from school come to Chrysalis therapists during that time to address difficult issues or internal conflicts. Give us a call or send an email and we can help assess your needs.
